Dulux Waxed Khaki

Please please help me choose! I am hopeless and clueless with colours. :(

I have a living room with windows on the South and north, usual pale carpet and similar Oat coloured sofas. I am thinking Egyptian Cotton.

The hallway which is quite dark, also Egyptian Cotton.

The dark kitchen with all beige cupboards and oak worktop - I want waxed khaki. My DH thinks this is too dark and will be cold and ugly.

The South facing Dining room, I was thinking the same -waxed khaki.

Not a colour I'm keen on tbh - what about a paler green shade instead or one wall in that colour?

I did like the pale green -artichoke or something. But can't help wonder if it will look very 'avocado'

Maybe more of a sage green then? We have a cream shaker kitchen with Willow Tree walls.

If you have loads of cupboards to break it up it can look good.

Farrow and Ball Breakfast Room Green is amazing -and you can get it mixed up way cheaper at a Johnstones Paint shop.

Ooh! @pestymcpestface, that looks nice. I think I will brave it. @Twillow, the decorator we are using only works with Dulux :( @wowfudge, I love willow tree but won't work with my beige/woody kitchen. Sage green is a good call for the dining room.

Good luck! Maybe the contractor's Dulux is better, but i gave up on Dulux years ago - always seemed to have to use several coats and it diddn't look 'solid' if you know what I mean.

Trade paint is always better. Dulux mixed to order paint is on a trade base. Would not touch ready mix paint with a paint brush.

Dulux overtly olive is a lovely colour (in my opinion) - I had it in my old kitchen.

@Thegirlisnotright your kitchen look so light and airy! You know the bit on the right corner of the pic- A sideboard, maybe? That's what my entire kitchen is like. No other colour. That's why I need something to break up the monotony of beige.
