Crown Aged White

I'm looking to paint my living room and dining room in a colour similar to Crown Aged White.

Can anyone suggest an alternative?

I don't want an alternative shade of white - just a close match from another brand. I'm going to need a few tins and just trying to bring the cost down a little if I can!

Thanks

I would just go for ordinary white. Much cheaper.

Do you mean pure brilliant? I didn't want anything that 'harsh'. I wanted something softer. More the shade of creamy milk. (but not the colour 'cream')

Go to a Johnsons paint shop and get them to mix up Crown aged white for you - they can mix up any pretty much (used them for Farrow and Ball copies). The paint is great, you can have any formulation you want, scubbable etc. And much cheaper.

Oh, ok. Brilliant. Will look into that then! Thanks Smile

Is the coverage ok? I used the Dulux paint mix service once and wasn't impressed at all.

Pure brilliant white can be harsh. A slightly off-white is easier to live with.

Johnstones is great paint, I gave up on Dulux years ago as always found the coverage awful.

Johnstones/Johnsons its one or the other!!
