Living room paint colours - with pictures

We moved into our new build a couple of months ago. The white paint everywhere is starting to drive me mad and we want to start decorating next month.

I’m stuck on the lounge. We went for green sofas so don’t want the colours to clash. Pale carpet and oak furniture. I’d like grey but husband not keen.

Pics of room included. Hoping to get shutters on the box bay window if I can find a price that isn’t horrendous.

What direction does the room face? I think it needs some warmth, but it would be helpful to understand where the light is when. I dislike shutters unless it's a period house where they are original/in keeping or a beach type place where plantation shutters work better. Have you got pull up blinds or something on the windows?

Thanks. I think it’s west facing. Very quiet street to the front and overlooked by woodland.

At the moment we’ve left the privacy film they had on the window from the new build. It was show house/site office at one point.

There are curtains currently but no other blinds. I was happy without anything other than the curtains but husband doesn’t like people looking in. Don’t think shutters will be an option anyway as not willing to pay £1750 for one window!

I would pull the sofa away from the wall.
If it's west facing you'll get evening sunlight.
