We are having a garden room installed, and using it as somewhere extra to sit, read etc. I would like to keep it quite simple, and have just the minimum we would need in there. Thinking of two small sofas, a coffee table, a small fridge and a butchers block/free standing kitchen unit (to store glasses, snacks, some crockery etc). Maybe a footstool.

I want to avoid colours that we already have in our house and go for something different. We already have gold/neutral in our family room, and red/chocolate/neutral in our sitting room. This is an opportunity to have a change. But I am a practical sort, so I need to choose something that lends itself to looking different with different colour cushions, a throw etc. But I don't want to go too safe and neutral either. And it needs to be fairly hardwearing (but not leather).

Flooring is oak.

All ideas appreciated!

The throw is more blue than it seems in the picture

Sage/dirty green linen sofa, add texture with kitted cushions, velvet cushions, fur throw, woolly sheepskin rug and lots of plants.

Pink and green is very in at the moment, so you could have some pink cushions, in a plaster coloured pink, or coral.

For a more Lux look, a velvet sofa would be nice.

String up some fairy lights.

We're going for charcoal for our new sofas, if we redecorate or move it should still be fairly easy to match new furnishings which is our big draw.
