What colour walls?

So we are wanting to decorate (paint) front room but we are stuck with cream/beige carpet, dark brown leather sofa and dark red curtains.

Currently walls are papered with a laura Ashley paper that is white and a cream.

Any suggestions for wall colours? Also DH wants to do a ‘feature wall’ but have already told him he can move out before that happens.

Probably not much help but why are you stuck with the red curtains? I'm just thinking that everything else you have is neutral, so you could pick pretty much any colour you like - it's the red curtains making it awkward!

If it's cost, urtains don't have to be expensive - I've picked up some lovely ones before in charity shops & on gumtree.

They’re fairly new and were very expensive! We actually have a very awkward window size as well.
Also have matching expensive cushions as well.

Well, you could get away with a really pale warm blue.

One which hinted towards the green end, sort of extra pale duck egg.
