Ideas for chimney breast decoration- without fire

Hi,
Looking to redecorate our living room. It currently has a gas fire that isn't useable, hence looking to get rid of it. DH doesnt want a fire at all. Does anyone have any ideas of what to have instead of the fire- happy either with or without the mantlepiece/hearth etc, just not sure how to ensure it doesnt look odd without a fire. It's on a chimney breast. Photo attached of how it is currently

Would you fancy a wood burning stove or not? Otherwise I have seen fireplaces with 3 big church candles in which looks nice.....If you search for “use for disused fireplace” on Pinterest there’s loads of ideas....wine rack, big logs with fairy lights wrapped around them (quite taken with this one) etc....

We had an empty fireplace, we put down some slate tiles inside and then put a black metal log basket filled with logs in. Actually looked quite effective!

Why can’t you use it? Log burner would be lovely.
