Is 2m 10cm floor space too wide for a galley kitchen?

I have had a kitchen designed (badly) from Howdens. I am in the process of booking an appointment with a independent kitchen company. In the meantime I am trying lots of different options. I just wondered if anybody has a galley type kitchen that has a big gap between the parallel runs. We would have a gap of 2m 10cm and I'm wondering if it will look silly. The kitchen is only 2m 70 long.

Can you do a bird's eye view so we can see how those two diagrams relate to each other? It would be really helpful if you could show what is there on the short ends, i.e. windows, doors, radiators.
