DS has SEN and is not very careful about looking after things. His bed is lengthways against the wall and I know if I leave it like that the wall will end up filthy.

I'd like to cover it in something that will be protect the wall and look good.

He leans against the wall when playing xbox so it needs to be hard wearing too.

So far ideas we've had is to use soundproofing foam panels. Or ikea have faux animal skin rugs.

Does anybody else have any ideas? TIA.

Is the texture important? Would something you can wipe-clean be better? You can get ‘endurance’ paint from dulux-sure there are others- that is scrubbable. Otherwise how about some of those large panels you can use in a bathroom instead tiles? Or plywood like you see in coastal-styled houses?

Cork tiles? That washable wallpaper for bathrooms?

He does like soft textures. Not sure if that's a good thing or not because it might just encourage him to play with it.

Cork tiles is a good idea and also the bathroom panels. Thanks I'll look into theose.

What about tongue and groove panelling with some cushions?
