Can anyone recommend a very pale grey paint?

Looking to re-decorate our bedroom and looking for a very pale grey paint (white with a hint of grey really). Have bought so many testers but all have come out either too dark or have a blue tinge to them. Can anyone recommend a very pale grey paint which doesn't look blue? Thanks in advance!

We have Cornforth White in our kitchen and hallway which is a very pale grey...it's a F&B colour but we bought a 'copy' from Johnstones who will mix it up using the F&B colour code. I'll see if I can get a decent pic and post it....

In 2 different lights, first one is the kitchenwhich is quite sunny atm, the other is the hallway which has less natural light

I ended up buying white and black paint and mixing it myself as couldn't find anything I liked. It was either too blue or too brown.

I just kept adding some black until I had the colour I liked, and I love it!

I have Dulux rock salt in my bathrooms and it's lovely

We have B&Q wedding. It is very pale, I took ages trying to find one that was actually pale when it dried. It does have a slight lavender undertone in some lights though.

Excuse the rubbish picture, but this is it

I found Ammonite (which is gorgeous) a bit dark, went for James White

I am thinking of redecorating my front room , I would like it to be grey but don't want to end up it looking like a battle ship , to keep cost down I plan om painting the existing wall paper ( at the moment its a dark sandy blown paper ) and hang some grey paper in the alcoves but I want it to still look light and cheerful .

Any ideas or photos will be most welcome

Thank you to all who have commented and especially for the photos, that's extremely helpful! Will have a look at the options you've suggested!

I have been looking for something similar....in the end we are using Dulux polished pebble in some places and White mist in others. Liked goose down too but it was just a little dark...

We have a very pale grey in our bedroom which is Dulux trade - will find out colour if interested. It’s a very calm colour.

Sail White , not sure if it’s Leyland or Dulux Trade

Oh2beatsea · 07/08/2018 22:51

Clay white by Crown is just a hint of grey whilst Goose Down is a lovely pale grey by Dulux.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 07/08/2018 22:54

Farrow and Ball Blackened White . White with a hint of grey. So nice !

I have Cornforth White in my bathroom, it is exactly what you say you want. I panicked a little when I first started painting as I was redecorating a white bathroom so it seemed dark in comparison, but it is actually a lovely pale grey.

Partyfops · 07/08/2018 23:11

F&b strong white

spidereye · 07/08/2018 23:28

Just painted DD's room with Homebase Silver Mist, looks fab

BlackCloudofGloom · 09/08/2018 21:22

I used Dulux Polished Pebble... very happy with the results!

Dulux rocksalt is pretty much white, you can only tell it's grey when next to something white, polished pebble is a very nice soft grey. I have used both a lot in my house so obviously I like them.
