Help with colour scheme for daughters room

My son is at uni and has the biggest room out of my three children.
I have thought that he can swop rooms with my 9year old DD, as he is only home during uni holidays, seems pointless him having a huge room to himself!
Anyway, to cut down on costs I have said that we will keep the carpet in there which is grey and his furniture, which is black!
How can I turn a boys room into one for girls, what colour schemes will look best?

Grey and black would look great with hot pink. You could do just two walls pink and two grey if you don't fancy all pink.

White walls with one deep pink or purple or perhaps a pretty wallpaper. Accessories to reflect her interests to make it personal to her. This one from House is very personal but fun and could be adapted. Have fun with it.

She likes turquoise as her favourite colour, then I would say lilac.
It's took a long time to persuade her to do this move, she gets very attached to her things!!

I will ask her again although last time it was I don't know 😎 she's really into unicorns but don't really want to go down that road other than accessories, as that dad will be over soon!
