I am lucky enough to have been given a bedhead which has already been covered. I would rather leave it as it is (ready stuffed) than start from scratch. What advice would you give, please, on cleaning it before the new cover goes on? Ought I to try and sponge the outer fabric or just use a Dettol type spray to freshen it?
