Finally the Hallway and Dining Room are Finished!

I posted on here recently for some help in choosing a carpet colour for my hallway, stairs and landing and dining room after it was decorated. Today the carpet was finally laid and I am so pleased with it.
I just need to sort out some new curtains for the landing and dining room and wondered about a dark grey as a contrast or if anyone had any other suggestions?

Looks beautiful. I love the wallpaper.

Oh that's lovely. I would like a lime green with that, to set it off with a bit of a zing Smile

MissCherryCakeyBun · 18/07/2018 23:02

yes a dark grey or if you could match the green in a deeper shade that would also look very nice

Icequeen01 · 18/07/2018 23:38

Thanks everyone. I think the green some of you are referring to is actually gold. I don't think the colour has come out well in the photo. I'm not a lover of gold in soft furnishings if I'm honest but I will keep an open mind when I am looking at fabric.

I have got aubergine coloured curtains in my dining room with grey carpet and grey/gold wallpaper. They look very dramatic. I have a runner for my dining table in the same colour too.

I had never thought of aubergine @TheWoollybacksWife. I will definitely look at that! Thank you.

I'd go for a mustard colour to compliment the yellow-gold in the paper.
It looks lovely by the way!

It looks lovely. The wallpaper is lush. I really like your table it's the kind I am looking for where abouts is it from?

wildbhoysmama · 19/07/2018 10:02

What about a lovely ochre? Very classy with your gorgeous wallpaper. Or, like u say, darker grey. I, personally, think aubergine would make it old fashioned with the wood, but then I'm not a lover of the colour. Whatever you choose will be lovely. We'll.done, it's really gorgeous.

Icequeen01 · 19/07/2018 19:02

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. It's interesting that everyone has suggested something bold ant that's exactly what I think. Ochre is a fab suggestion @wildbhoysmama. I'm hoping to go shopping for curtains next week as I work in a school and I start the holidays. @chaplin1409 the dining room table is from Oak Furnitureland. It can also be extended. We have had it for over 5 years now and it's worn well. Only downside is that the chairs are quite heavy and my mum struggles to pull them out when she comes to dinner.

Happy holidays. I work in a school too, but been off 3 ½ weeks here already. Bliss. Rem to update us with curtains etc. Enjoy.
