Hi,

Just about to go and pick up our Fairford cupboards form Howdens but I am having a wobble about colour. I have ordered slate grey, but wondering if I should do cashmere or even another grey. We have Farrow and ball Ammonite on the walls, will have a white marble effect worktop and oak flooring, light south ash facing room. We will also be getting the same cupboards for the kitchen which is dark.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Kerry

I have ammonite alongside purbeck stone in my bathroom. The F&B website has ideas/suggestions of colours to match each colour.

We have just had fitted Fairford slate grey in our bathroom and Fairford graphite in our kitchen. Have white worktop in both. Both are lovely (am so pleased with them) so I would not change my choice if I were you. We are looking for a grey paint to match both and f&b ammonite is definitely in the running......So now hijacking your post to ask what splashback are you having with those cupboards in the kitchen?

Thanks guys for your responses. I changed my mind literally in the last 30 seconds and went for Dove Grey cupboards. It is almost the exact same colour as the walls, along with a white worktop. Although the doors aren't on yet, I am really happy with it and really please with my choice, its going to look like a proper grown up utility room.

SS2011 the cupboards have gone into a long narrow room for a boot room and utility. We haven't put a sink in and no cooker, although we said we may add a sink in the future if we feel like we need to. We may do a few rows of natural grey stone tiles to ad some texture and a bit of a focal point but will decide once he gets the worktop fitted properly and doors on at the weekend.
