How to get this effect with wood cladding?

When I searched for Cedar Wood on Google, all the images give this uneven, stripe effect which I love.

When I visited a wood merchant today to enquire about cedar wood for shed/DHs man cave cladding thinking this was a natural occurrence with cedar, he told me noone would be able to guarantee that effect. Surely that can't be right!? Is there a way to get this look from wooden cladding(aside from painting it)! Cedar is very expensive so that's no longer an option, don't mind paying a bit more than budget price but this effect is really what I want.

Will I really just have to get Andy with wood stain?!!

How to get this effect with wood cladding?

*Handy 😳 Though ironically our handy man is called Andy so this is kind of correct 😁

Whatever wood you get is unlikely to stay the same colour anyway - as it weathers it changes colour. Cedar goes a silvery grey.
