What would you do with a beech kitchen?

We're in a rental with an informal agreement to buy from LL in a couple of years. We have free reign but don't want to invest too much just in case.
Kitchen is beech (veneer) with light/beigey mottled worktops. Hate it but need to work with it.
I've done the opposite end wall in brick wallpaper with copper lights, lots of plants etc but no idea what colour to paint/tile the kitchen to give it a similar faux industrial feel. Any ideas?

Is industrial the look you are aiming for? I am not very imaginative, so I possibly would try a warm rust/brown/Terra cotta shade to tie in your brick wallpaper and contract with the beech...I think. Try searching pinterest for beech kitchens and see what comes up?

This green looks nice. goo.gl/images/M9Q6Le
What is your floor colour?

Is your brick wallpaper at all like this colour? goo.gl/images/hCYXw7

I have a pic but can't see the little paperclip thingy to upload it. Any ideas?
Brick wallpaper is light coloured red brick, floor is also light oak/beech type similar to laminate.
Wondered about either a sage green or one that looks like unpainted plaster.

I think a sage would compliment everything you have. I am afraid I don't know how to find the paperclip.

I found an old credit note about to run out from b&q so popped in yesterday and bought a tin of overtly olive. Hope it's not too dark.

I think it may be ok, maybe just do a section to be sure it pleases you?

I bought a really light shade of olive, it was in the off-white shades, but did not look white, it was quite nice. Good luck, hope it works.

I looked it (overtly olive) up, I really like it, it would be perfect for my kitchen wall when we re paint.

Overtly Olive
