Ikea kitchen and aplliances

Hi amazing people
I have ordered an Ikea kitchen with appliances but all my existing ones are fine apart from the cooker. Have to do kitchen on a budget so seems daft to buy a new dishwasher microwave and washing machjne(I have a washer drier and tiny kitchen so don’t really want to lose drier anyway). Have anyone any experience of buying an Ikea standard kitchen - Bidbyn units and keeping some of your existing aplliances? Many thanks

Hi,

Doing the exact same thing as you at the minute and we’ve bought the ikea kitchen without any appliances and the kitchen planner guy said it wasn’t an issue at all. Some of the appliances are ridiculously priced so I’d always say shop around anyway

Thanks - I wouldn’t mind if they needed replacing but they are in good order. Did you buy doors to cover the dishwasher washing machine etc or are you leaving them exposed?

Yes. We bought a door to cover the dishwasher and they were fine with it, I just gave them all the sizes.
They did recommend getting some extra ‘side/trim’ which matches the doors as our fridge freezer is an odd size so it would blend better and we did that

Thanks - was it a standard door? Doing this alone so trying to work it all out!

I think so yes, it had an add on of a few fixing rods. If you submit your kitchen plan (if you’re doing it online) then the ikea team will review it and give you direction
