Velvet upholstered bed - Loaf or Sofa.com?

Does anyone have a bed (or velvet sofa) from either of these companies? Which would you recommend? I've googled and seen comments about Loaf velvet getting ruined really easily, but the beds look so nice!

Cost-wise, they're about the same. The Loaf one would be in "clever velvet" which is presumably harder-wearing (but is it?), whereas the Sofa.com one would be in their standard velvet as the colour I want isn't available in clever velvet.

Any reviews? Thank you!

We just bought sofas from sofa.com after almost buying from Loaf. We are going for the velvet option too and getting the guardsman on it to protect against any damage. I'd say it all should come down to which one to you like the look of more and which is more comfortable.

I personally found the service from sofa.com brilliant, they were more knowledgeable and helpful than loaf, although loaf were friendly, I felt the lady at sofa.com was amazing and really helped us "put together" our room. Based on that, I'd always go with sofa.com over loaf...

Good luck!

Thank you! Mind if I ask which colour you've chosen? At sofa.com I like the look of Prussian Blue, and at Loaf it's Twilight Blue.

I'm just not sure! I think I'll go along to one of the Loaf showrooms and try it out. That bed also has storage, which would be a bonus.

We got the Isla three Seat Sofa in deep turquoise cotton matt velvet, Isla Small Armchair in Lagoon Brushed Linen Cotton, Bluebell Daybed in Seashell House Herringbone Weave and Footstool in Dijon Soft wool. They also gave me a free scatter cushion for the daybed!

I'd go along to the sofa.com showroom too if you can. I took and A3 piece of paper which I had painted the same colour as our walls to help match up the fabrics and the woman who helped us had done an interior deign degree so we pretty much went with her suggestions and what she put together looks amazing, we are now patiently waiting for delivery next week. Sofa.com deliver really quickly, they were much quicker than anywhere else we looked and we have been to every sofa shop there is (or at least it feels that way)

What I also found is I'd sit in a sofa and think it was amazingly comfortable, but when I went back for a second "sitting" it wasn't as comfortable as I remembered, so I'd say sit and then sit again!
