We have a rather vile 70s fireplace in our dining room that in an ideal world I would rip out and block up.
We (well I am!!) hoping to move in a year or two and we don't have the cash to do any major work at the moment.
I am looking to paint the surround in a grey colour I think and then the tiles in another colour.
I am totally clueless about where to start with this apart from a quick google.
The surround appears to be quite simple to paint but the tiles might be a bit harder.
The fireplace is not a working fire so fire resistant isn't an issue.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated!!
