Kitchen wall colour?

Hi all. We are part way through having our kitchen re tiled and plan to have the cupboards re painted. Floor is very pale 'greige' wood effect porcelain tiles, wall tiles are white metro with very light grey grout. Cupboards are currently dulux heritage York white (which now looks much more yellowy due to the changes already made. Worktops are light oak effect laminate. Walls currently a copy if farrow and ball clunch, which now looks much more green. Am thinking of painting the units in f and b purbeck stone...What colour would you suggest for the walls?

Depending on how dark you want to go . You need to be careful that they work with cool wood on the floor and the warm wood on the workptops

Thanks for the prompt response! Hmmm Amonite could be an option I think. Kitchen is large, west facing, I want a light colour really. Take your point on cool/warm but the worktops are actually somewhat cool toned rather than warm if that makes sense.

Yes it does, some oak is cool toned. And as it’s laminate it won’t go yellow over time .

Good, am really pleased with it...took me ages to find one that was cooler toned...some were verging on the ginger/ orange-ish they were so 'warm'. Would you say purbeck stone is a kind of putty-ish colour in your opinion? As that's the kind of shade I'm after...

Yes I’d say so. But so much depends on horizon room, the light levels, aspect etc.

As always, you need a tester. IME farrow and ball colours can change dramatically from room to room.
