Now I know they’re considered a bit naff but I’m now leaning towards being desperate to get one.

I’m a woman of a certain age and have a few chronic illnesses so I’m close to boiling in the bedroom.
We live on a new build which is fab for keeping the heat in on winter but flipping hot in the summer we’re discovering.

I was considering a Dyson fan but would really rather have a permanent fixture.

So has anyone got one they could recommend that’s a little more contemporary than the old wood and brass ones, works well and isn’t super noisy?

We had one in our old house because we lived by a busy road and didn’t like, opening windows.

We loved,it. It made a real, difference to the room.

Thanks Petal so I wouldn’t be making a grace error in getting one then!

My dd has the Whoosh ceiling fan from B &Q in her bedroom , she has a few medical issues and can’t do heat at all . If they are properly balanced they are not noisy at all .

We had a qazqa one fitted in our bedroom a few months ago which we ordered from amazon... absolutely love it. It is big, but looks sleek, is quiet but effective and it's remote controlled which is a huge bonus!

The whoosh model we have is remote control .
