We are renovation a 4 bed house that we just purchased. We have an architect working on a project but he does have ideas for a finish. At the moment I'm being bombarded with tons of question about lighting, tiles in bathrooms and kitchen materials. All this time I was convinced that I can come up with all the answers as I am addicted to pinterest and know what I want. However, I realize that once you are working on a budget then every idea needs adapting, cant blow the budget on marble bathrooms etc. Also, I have no idea where to source any of it. Can't spend weekends in showrooms as have two little ones.
I'm looking for an interior designer who can help me source a kitchen (at a competitive price! ) after I show them an image on Pinterest. Also need to design a few bathrooms, then source it. General advice for house design, color scheme etc.
I have considered Homewings but not sure how reliable digital images can be.
I'm prepared to pay a small fee ( not more than £1000) but hoping that the main source of income for the designer will be from kickbacks from suppliers as a lot of money will be spent purchasing materials.
Has anyone had a positive experience with an interior designer and most importantly can they recommend anyone? Thanks
