Newbie here. Done a search for my question and didn't find anything so apologies if there's been a thread and I missed it.
Having a lot of work done on our house, some of which will be decorating. Current wallpaper has been on years and is being stripped off and we just want to paint the walls rather than paper again, but as the walls are a bit uneven it's been suggested that we "cross-line" them with lining paper (where lining paper is applied horizontally and then vertically over that, and the 'seams' sealed) after which they will be smooth enough for a really nice finish with paint.
Has anyone ever done this? If so, could I know your pros and cons and whether or not you did get the desired result in the end?
Thanks.
