Can you dye a chair?

I was given a lovely armchair, (it’s a thin cordoury type material).
I hate the colour and it really doesn’t go in our room so I resort to chucking a throw over it...every.single.day!!
It’s driving me mad, every time someone sits on it I’m taking it off, shaking it and rearranging it over the chair.
Is it possible to dye a chair without removable covers? If so does anyone have recommendations of brands etc?

You can do it with chalk paint. Have a google.

Yes, I think you probably could.
There is a Fb group called diy on a budget. There are people there who have dyed furniture. You should be able to pick up some tips.

(There are some fairly extreme ideas on there, so if you’re not looking to wallpaper the stairs, fablon your kitchen, mirror your fireplace or glitter everything in sight, you may need to be selective about the posts you read )
