Our new kitchen is starting to go in next week and we have not chosen tiles yet. It’s L shaped with an island and are thinking of tiling along one of the walls of the l shape.....which will also make the tiles the splash back for the range oven. The kitchen is Howdens fairford (shaker) in graphite, with a stone-style porcelain floor (Mandarin Stone cavendish grey) and the worktop will be white quartz - probably marble effect so with a bit of grey (still choosing that too :)). So, despite my love of patterned tiles I have seen in other kitchens, they need to go with the floor and the workshop ...so wondering if we are going to end up going for a white metro tile as a safe bet. It would be nice to have something to warm the room up a bit though. Any ideas anyone? What do you all have?
