My rented house is boring!

And I need to brighten it up - spending next to nothing!

I can't paint it and I do have pictures on the walls but its still boring. It's all magnolia. Its not very big either, a tiny 2 up 2 down so light colours make sense anyway.

How can I make it look colourful without painting?

In the living room my sofas are blue and pale green. I have blue rugs and cream curtains. The rest is pale wood.

The bedroom's ok, I put some cheap pictures ( off eBay) up and fairy lights and I like it.

The bathroom is plain white with grey floor tiles. It's tiny and I have just a mirror and 2 small pictures on the walls. Not sure what else I can do? I've been looking at wall stickers but think it'll maybe just look cheap and tacky?

I'm useless at grouping lots of framed pictures/ photos, despite looking on Pinterest. And even frames are expensive when you've next to nothing to spend!

I'd love a turquoise themed bathroom Blush

Any suggestions?

for the living room could you change the colour of the curtains to brighten it up ? you could get different colour cushions. For bath room you could get bath mat, shower curtain , towels, and toothbrush holder , soap dish ECT in the colours you wanted

Not really.. curtains are expensive. In the bathroom there's a cubicle so no shower curtain, i have a coloured bath may etc but the walls are so plain

Have a look in charity shops for interesting fabric, rugs etc. Can be throws or even mounted on the wall if you're crafty.

Have you asked the landlord if you can paint? I'm just thinking it says you can't in a lot of contracts but in my experience the actual landlord doesn't care

No it states in my contract that I can't paint Sad

I'll ask him though.

It states in ours we can't either. Thinking it's standard wording. But ours doesn't mind we asked him. So I would ask anyway...
