...and just occurred to me that the blinds alone underneath make the place look a lot brighter and bigger. Am i mad and delusional?

Do those blinds actually block anything though? They look very gauzy. I always think blinds are really weird over doors.

They block when no light shining in. I'm thinking maybe lighte4 curtains?
