Roman blind fitting help!

I just bought a bargain Roman blind on eBay... but unfortunately forgot to check the fitting! It’s a Laura Ashley blind with a cassette that’s designed to go inside a window recess.. but we need it to fit on the outside.

I can sew - so would happily change the cassette for the right one - but haven’t managed to find any info on what the ‘right one is’. Can anyone help?

I am not sure what you mean. Why can't you use this fitting outside the recess?
If you want to go for a traditional blind set up then peel the Velcro off the cassette, fix a wooden batten (the width of the blind) to the outside f the recess. Apply Velcro to this. You will have to buy more and only use one half of it. Offer up the blind to the batten and mark the position of the screw in eyelets. This where the strings emerge from the blind. Screw the eyelets into the underside of the batten and thread.. you will need a clear hook to secure the cords.
I have probably answered a question you didn't ask!
