Stupid question about curtain poles and eyelet curtains.

I've always had pencil pleat curtains and they are attached to wooden poles.

I want to replace the curtains and have seen a few ready made styles but they are all eyelet on poles. The thing is, I think my poles are too wide to fit through an eyelet. I'm going to go for ready made if possible because I don't want to spend a fortune (again) on made to measure.

Does it give you the eyelet dimensions on packs of curtains or not?

I would need 3 pairs of full length curtains and need to change the poles if the current ones are too wide a diameter.

The poles I have were from J Lewis and I begrudge ditching them as they were quite expensive.

Any ideas?

I have read both of your threads.
Are you absolutely sure that you want eyelet curtains?
To my eye they are always the "cheap " option.
Look for other options, you could cut the eyelets off and put pencil pleat heading tape on. A local alteration shop could do this far cheaper than the cost of a new pole.
You would, of course have to buy longer curtains to allow for this.
