We live in a Victorian Stone built house, the hall is a good size but as the kids get bigger it's getting more and more cluttered with coats and bags and shoes.
The door is right in the middle with a shoe rack behind where the door opens, then a pine chest of drawers with router and lamp and often flowers on it, then old school type radiator buried under coats and bags this is all along the right hand side, the left side is clear as there is a doorway then the stairs.
We do not want to change the wooden floor (oak) or the stairs carpet striped but unfortunately in beige/ cream/ rust and the walls are ok it's mainly the furniture I'm not getting right.
I've tried Pinterest but find it hard to see what would work in my house - any ideas would be very gratefully received!!
