What height do you hang your pictures at?

DH and I always disagree on this... I think that he wants them way too high, even though we have high ceilings.

We have the same disagreements. DH is 6'4 and tries to hang them way too high!

Eye height

Level with the architrave unless it's particularly small.

Thanks, our latest ones are just below architrave level but the centre is at about the top of my head and I’m 5 ft 7, so I’m thinking too high! Contemplating moving them down whilst he’s out

I read that the center should be roughly 57" from the ground. So I start with that, then adjust a little depending on the piece and location. Id put it lower if you expect people to be looking at it when sitting vs standing.

Just looked and the centre is actually way above my head, I’m definitely going to have to move them!
