Anthractite Windows- coloured or oak effect door?

Hubby and I cannot agree. We have replaced windows with UPVC anthractice grey units which are fab. Now it’s the turn of front door with two side panels. He wants to stick to more grey-modern, composite unit. I want to inject a bit of colour/style. Thoughts on bright red (but would need the grey frame) vs a light oak effect?? Or would you stick to grey???

We’re in a similar position - currently having our house renovated, will have white render and anthracite windows. Planning to have a coloured door, I never even considered having a grey one. I think we’ll go for dark red.

Thanks notname. What colour of frame will you go for then with the door? The grey or matching red?

I hadn’t thought about frames til seeing our post, but will go for grey. We’ll have glass panels either side of the door so will have great frames round all of it to match the windows. Think it’ll look fine (I hope!) :)

your post and grey frames!

I've just had new windows put in, in a concrete grey. Couldn't get a matching door with side panels in same colour and thought it would be overkill. Gone for Irish Oak and looks fabulous, but we do have cedar cladding on some areas as well as off white render. Surprised by how nice it looks together.
