I want to paint some internal wooden doors white to brighten the room up but i am unsure what to do in terms of preparation. They are stained with a dark (orange!!) stain and the wood wasn’t, it seems, even sanded first before staining so the wood is quite rough and just generally not nice to look at! How should I prepare the wood for a nice, smooth white paint finish?
