Are hallway runners be hard wearing enough?

My hallway is pretty small but also quite white/off-white and bland.

White walls, white bannisters, cream carpets, beige floor tiles - it all means it's a bit bleh!

I've added a big mirror and might try some pictures on the wall, but I'd love a bold and colourful runner on the floor tiles. It would hopefully also help avoid the tiles looking so dirty so quickly.

Has anyone got a runner that's wearing really well, despite heavy usage?

I also bring a pram in and out on most days, so it would need to survive that as well!

Have you looked at Hugrugs? They are very hard wearing and are washable.
Lots of lovely designs. I have this one, with a matching mat by the front door.
