Help me improve DS's space

My DC share bedrooms (can't change that at the moment). DS is 6 and I want him to feel like he has a nice space of his own. He has a top bunk. How can I make him feel nice about it? Thinking about a little box shelf for special things, glow in the dark stars on ceiling. Any ideas?

A curtain so he can screen off his space somehow?

Box shelf is a nice idea, or a bunk tidy like this:

A canopy to go over his bed might be nice too, and provides some privacy.
