Maisons du Monde - has anyone actually bought from them?

Hi, I’m thinking of buying a rocking chair and cot from Maisons du Monde. Their pricing is quite varied so I’m a bit hesitant on the quality.

Has anyone bought anything from them in the past, particularly furniture? If so, what was the quality like?

I have. I have some lovely, solid and quite original pieces but I think you have to choose carefully and not go for the cheaper items as the quality can be quite variable.

We've had a few things from there. The quality is fairly decent, although I've never bought chairs, so can't be too specific about that.
I've always found them to be pretty good value for money.

Yes. I bought two console tables from them. Really pleased. They weigh a ton and so I was very impressed when the delivery men positioned them for me.

Yes, my garden table and some shelf things. Really impressed both times.

A family member bought a lot from them and it was all heavy and seemingly good quality.

They have TERRIBLE reviews on TrustPilot. Totally put me off buying anything from them.

yep we got a sofa from them and had a laugh when 2 french couriers phoned on their way to deliver it - DH used his primary school french to confirm our address (jardin = garden in the street name). the sofa looks amazing, maybe ever so slightly style over substance but we’d happily buy from them again!

I visited a big shop in Paris with the furniture (they have other smaller stores there too). I was looking at sofas. The quality really varied, well in line with cost I suppose! I just saw yesterday that they now have concessions in Debenhams at Westfield in London, Manchester and Birmingham! I wonder how much stuff they will have.
