Daybed help

Has anyone got a suggestions as to what daybed I can buy? I’d like a single one that can be compact most of the time but that opens to a double for 2 guests to sleep on. I recently slept on the IKEA hemnes one, which I was going to get, but one of us had to sleep within the 3 sides and that’s a pain if you need to get up in the night!
Ideally I’d like one that 2 people can place their heads within a headrest.
Any thoughts welcome please! X x

Maybe you need a sofa bed?

I'm not 100% sure but I think the IKEA daybeds are wide enough to be slept on in either direction?

I've had two different ones and they're fantastic in many ways, but they're a pig to assemble and huge when extended (euro king size). But storage is fab and mattress choice means they're as comfortable as any bed.

When friends came to stay a couple of years ago (family of 4), they all slept in the one bed together!

The Ikea daybeds open out into a euro king-size - 160x200cm, so you couldn't sleep on it the other way around. We have the Brimnes one. It still has a small frame bit, bit nothing like the box bit on the Hemnes. It makes a very comfortable guest bed, and takes up a lot less space and n DSs room than a sofa bed would have. It was a complete b*stard to put together though. Took hours and involved several arguments (and DH and I are very seasoned Ikea furniture builders!!)
