WE Are having a new kitchen installed which needs to be painted. Quotes from specialist litchen painters are really quite high so i am considering doing this myself. Is there anyone who has done this? Also has anyon got a kitchen from handmade kitchen direct ? Thanks!

I don't have a kitchen from them but know they are ready for painting. You can diy it rather than employ a professional. Make sure you get high quality paint and apply all the coats required. To make sure it's properly done, I'd take the hinges off and paint the doors and carcasses (paintable bits) separately. When it's all properly done and dry, you can put the doors back on.

Hi, I don’t have a kitchen from handmade but have a very similar kitchen, I have painted mine a few times you need patience & use good quality paint, the best results I have had paint wise, was Mylands eggshell beautiful finish & very easy to work with & extremely hard wearing.
I also got an ordinary painter & decorator (not specialist as such) to paint the cupboards, he also did an excellent job, so that could be worth thinking about.
