I need help - currently our understairs area is open to the hallway - wondering whether to fill in with storage. DH thinks it will make the hallway seem much smaller. Anyone done this and regretted it? Or done it and wished they'd done it sooner? The hallway is a reasonable size: 1.7M x 3.4M (not including the understairs 'bit'). Really hoping the collective brilliant-ness of mumsnet can help me
