Wooden Floors

Hello All,

We have a n oak wooden floor. Has anyone any experience of staining it?
Do dark stains look bad when scratched?

You really need to give it a sand before refinishing it. It'll take out scratches etc.

Don't hire a sander from HSS or one of the big tool hire shops. They're crap. Find an independent sander person. Cost should be around £100 including discs.
