Sage green sofa - what colour(s) for the walls?

My living room isn't huge, but it does have windows at both ends so it's quite bright. We're redecorating and replacing the carpet, but the sofa is too good to let go. I've never liked beige, I was thinking grey but I don't want the room to be cold. Any suggestions?

I have a sage green sofa and chose buttery yellow walls with white woodwork. Is very pretty, neutral enough that can add any color to it, and is warm. I love it.

My walls are yellowish now, I need a change. Your room sounds lovely though!

this couch is pale sage, but look at how it looks with this blue - I'm totally shocked at how it goes.

ooh, also this

Lovely.

I do like the grey! The blue works because they're similar tonally, it's a bit too cool for me though.

We have a pale sage suite with pale grey walls, colour is Dulux Polished Pebble, I love it!

I love the darker gray. That looks rich and warm. Next time I decorate I shall steal that one!

The dark grey would be a great feature wall! I looked at polished pebble, is it a warm grey?

Would I be crazy to consider a soft green feature wall with warm, pale grey everywhere else?

well green and grey are fabulous together, I think if you make your feature wall a tonal match or contrast, it will be superb!

Thank you! I just need a push to be brave I think!

What about this?

I second, Dulux Polished Pebble - painted my living room in it a few months ago and love it. I was worried it would be too cold, but don't find it cold at all. It changes slightly with the type of light throughout the day.
As long as your green is towards blue as opposed to yellow, then it should go.

Got to be grey! Easy to find a warm tinged one.

tinyradish · 05/02/2018 19:54

I was coming on to say a nice light grey would look lovely!

Thank you! I'll pick up some testers, polished pebble will be one, and possibly willow tree for the green wall.

Kilnsey Crag, Drystone Wall or Limestone Pavment from Hicks & Weatherburn would go well
