Painting a bedroom wall red?

Would it be cool if would it be like when Adrian mole painted his bedroom black?

I have the space between the wardrobes either side of my bed, which is just over the width of the bed painted a deep dark red. It makes me feel happy and warm just looking at it. The rest of the walls are pale. I'm very fond of red in bedrooms, having lived in a house as a student where my bedroom was entirely red.
