What colour to paint walls with this floor?

We're cleaning up these old hall tiles: a sort of quarry red, with a broad black and white mosaic border stripe. Can anyone suggest a wall colour?

Wow, love the floor. Do you get much natural light in the hall?

Not a huge amount. There is a window but it is not clear glass. There are a few stained elements in it and otherwise it's like a bathroom one.

Grey

I’d do a rich clotted cream colour

We've got a very similar colour and did 3 walls a stone grey and one a sort of Royal blue navy colour

Ooh interesting. You didn't find it too dark? It's not a very big hall.

In fairness the room is quite well lit from daylight so maybe that makes the difference but as the navy was only a one wall feature and the grey colour is closer to a white than a dark grey it works nicely :)
