I'm having my bathroom done soon, it's my en-suite and I want it to be something a bit specialSmile

I really like antique brass and I've seen some lights and fitting on a website I've seen mentioned on here called janes Lawrence.

Also I like an antique brass effect shower I've seen a lot of on Pinterest/Instagram but I can't find them anywhere other than eBay and I worry about the quality.

Posted too soon!

My house is a big detached 1920s house and I've had the rest of it decorated with that in mind. The other bathrooms have traditional sinks/toilets and wood cladding halfway up the wall and are decorated in F&B colours. I think I would either like to stick with this style or maybe go for something a bit different.

My bedroom and dressing room have light grey carpet and the dressing room is painted in calamine with white built in wardrobes and my bedroom is cornforth white with white chest of drawers and bedside tables.

My other thought was black and white with the brass fittings. But I'm not sure if it would date well or look a bit tacky!

I love the traditional towel rails with the radiator in the middle in antique brass.

Has anyone got any recommendations for website where I can look at/bit from or why kind of things I might like?

Bump

I know my post goes on a bit but basically does anyone have any websites to share with me that aren't run of the mill generic ones, I want something a bit different and more luxury but don't know where to look for it Smile

Samuel Heath Urban Brass taps and accessories are what you are looking for if you're looking for antique brass. They are vvvvvv expensive but are made incredibly well and in the UK (taps are polished by hand before they are packaged for sale).

Don't bother with Burlington, we had it in our old house and I wouldn't bother again.

Or what about Lefroy Brooks? You could easily achieve the trad look with their sinks / toilets etc

Jim Lawrence lights are what you mean... We've got lights from them and they are very well made too. They look fab.

I really like The English Home Magazine for inspiration for more trad stuff and there are lots of ads and stockists for things that you might like.

Most decent independent bathroom stores or C P Hart will stock most of the above.
