It’s quite large and the ceilings are high, so I’m trying to make it feel cosy rather than create any illusions of space.
East facing so only gets morning sun.
Needs to work with a dark grey front door and glimpses of dark red carpet on the stairs and hall that leads off it (bit of a rabbit warren of a house). Oak flooring.
Currently in Dulux timeless but it doesn’t look right. Looks like white that’s grubby or tired. Have had dulux natural hessian in the past and that wasn’t right either! Pale blue paint samples I’ve tried look too cold. I quite fancy a warm pale grey, but is that dated now?! If not, which one? I have no idea on colours so any ideas would be welcome!
