Is there such thing as an attractive shower tray?

Currently deciding whether to have a wetroom or just normal shower room with screen and shower tray.

Builder says mosaic tiles are best in wet rooms (can't remember why but he explained) I hate them with a passion Sad so shower tray seems best option but I dont like them!

Any suggestions?Smile

You can get shower trays with a very thin profile that look like a large format tile. Or use a large format tile cut appropriately - it won't stop you having a shower screen.

Run for the hills if anyone suggests a mosaic shower tray. I have to clean the grout with a toothbrush. It's also a bit of a dated look In my view.

I am wondering the same thing with my en suite. There will be a little seat/shelf in the shower so I know it may have to be a tray with mosaics, but I really don't want to have to clean them! Watching with interest.

Also watching with interest! We don't have the space/budget for a wet room, or the space for an adequate run off under the floor for a low profile tray, so ideas for any prettier option would be great!

You can still tile in a tray with a step up into the shower. Works well with eg a patterned tile and the pattern extends across the tray floor and the step section too. Looks really good with a contrasting tile and works with a plain.
I would never, ever do a mosaic shower again and it is perfectly possible to do most configurations with a larger format tile.
