Hiding cables - wall mounted TV

We’re looking to put a TV up on the wall of a games room/ man cave Hmm but don’t want a mass of cables running down the wall. What have others done to hide them?!

Chiseled out a pathway for the cables and wallpapered over!!

There's a mini trunking type thing you can get & paint over that's ok if you don't want to track the walls

Oh I don’t know if we can do that as we’re looking at fitting on an old chimney breast (not even sure if we can get a bracket up there yet!!)

You could put a shelf under then sort of hide the cables under ?

FartsMeanHearts · 14/01/2018 22:21

Downsrairs we have gone through the chimney breast and out on the side the sky box etc sits in a fitted cupboard and shelving unit.

In our bedroom with have some trunking that has been painted the same colour as the wall it looks very tidy.

Can’t stand cables hanging out!

We have paintable d-profile trunking up. It is perfectly fine. When we next decorate, I'll probably see if we can have it sunk into the wall though.

Same as others, we’ve used trunking and painted it to match the wall - it looks perfectly smart though obviously not invisible.

If you sink it into the wall, what happens if & when you ever change the TV?
