Help me decorate my new bedroom!

I'm finally having my bedroom decorated as a birthday present. I've lived in this house for 4 years and have decorated everywhere else and now it's time to do my room!

I've picked some bedding and curtains, and I was wondering if anyone could suggest a nice light fitting, lamp and cushions.

I have a darkish grey carpet (the worlds cheapest nastiest looking one available that covers my stairs and all upstairs) that I can't afford to replace. I like grey so it could be worse if it was bright orange so I'm thinking a very light grey on the walls, then lovely bright white bedding and those orla kiely curtains.

Considering some Orla Kiely cushions to go on the white bedding, but thinking I don't want them to be too matchy so maybe a different but complimentary design?

I'm struggling to find a light fitting and lamp that I think would go!

Any suggestions would be great!

Actually the first one is probably more dining room!

If you go for a pale grey (eg F and B cornforth white) with the yellow-green curtains small amounts of a third colour would lift it. Thus could be via cushions. Teal would work or an orange-red.
