So we're looking at window dressings, as you can see from my cordless blind thread. I have a company coming to price up the window shutters for my French doors. Please be honest and tell me your experiences of them. I really love it MN can help

I got them done by Hillary's and sort from the ten week waiting time for them to be made I can't fault them. I'm getting the rest of the house done in march.

Wow!!!! Can you guys give any idea to cost? They are fab and I can see why you want to have the rest of the house done.

We went with Hillary’s as well and love our shutters. Got a quote from local company as well and they were very similar price wise. But I can’t remember how much sorry!

Ours are from hillaries and I love them! Really sturdy and smart. Hang off on ordering them after the salesperson comes round to measure and quote and they’ll phone you with a reduction in price Wink. The salesperson was nice and not at all pushy.

Hello Towely

I've just had shutters fitted and I'm completely delighted with them. Everyone who comes round exclaims at how brilliant they look. I don't know where you are, but I had Woody's Shutters who are based in Reading but venture further out, and they were very reasonable for the quality (about £1,500 for a box bay with 3 central windows and two side ones).

Our new house had them in the bay window before we moved in. I quite like them

We don’t have them on French doors, but have them in all rooms upstairs. They are so handy and do a great job of shutting light out/ providing some shade during strong sun. Really easy to clean, too, which I love.

Woodys , 14 weeks and still waiting for our shutters !! I am so worried. Was a little put off by the Hillarys 50% off promotions and bad reviews on TrustPilot so went local. Should have done some more research.
