Curtains???

We have just had our open plan living and kitchen area refurbished. There is a big curved bay window in the lounge area and we have taken out the two middle windows to put fence doors in instead. So now we have two windows and then a wide door and two windows if that makes sense.

I’m struggling to figure out about what to put at the window. I had thought floor length curtains the whole way round but they will have to come out over the window sill. Is that weird? What would you do?

I think that’s the normal way of doing it.

Unless the windowsill really sticks out proud, I'd say that if you have a curtain pole with biggish brackets on then that would be fine.

Otherwise you'll have to get some sort of pelmetty affair with a side return to ensure the curtains clear the sill.
