Art on the stairs wall? What to do?

Our stairs turn back on themselves iyswim so we have a wall which is very tall and very plain with no window to break it up.

I'm thinking I'd like to hang some pictures but I'm not sure if
A) hanging pictures on the stairs is a pita as they get knocked by people/ stuff going up and down
B) what size to go for? I've seen some a4 size prints I like so could get a few of those. But maybe one big one is better?

What's on your stairs?

Huge mirror?

I have a beautiful bright quilt. Suspended from a batten.

I would opt for a big mirror

We’ve got a couple of large paintings. No one has ever walked into anything. I suppose I’d only worry about that in a period house with narrow stairs.

Hmmm. I'm not sure about a big mirror, it'll just be reflecting the banisters on the landing and the washing draped over it. 😬 Not so chic... 😂

You can get really nice art prints in different sizes, so those would work better than a mirror I think

I have lots of mismatched frames with prints/postcards/paintings in - anything that takes my fancy but doesn’t fit in any of the rooms gets hung on the stairs. I like it.

I'd say nice art prints or family picture frames. Huge mirror can also be possible.

I’ve got 3 A4 prints, but in large frames going up my stairs wall. Looks good, but need to be careful that we don’t knock them off when going up and down, spesh if we’ve had a few 😊
